Pelican Bayou Canoe

The canoe is approximately 9 months old, was used only three times, and stored under cover at my friend’s house-dock. The hurricane came, it floated down the street and was returned. As I live in west Houston, I haven’t seen the canoe since, and don’t have recent photographs. It’s made out of ABS, which is tough enough to survive rocks’ pounding, and I believe any scratches floating during the hurricane are insignificant. My friend who retrieved the canoe said it was undamaged by the hurricane. He emailed me a photo, and it looked fine. Not sure where the photo is presently—I’ll try to find. It’s sun that usually damage these canoes, and this canoe has been stored under cover.

New, typically retails for over $850. http://www.sportsauthority.com/sm-pelican-bayou-canoe-assembled--pi-2131649.html http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2131649

To sell this, I would need to drive to Galveston from W. Houston; so my preference is to offer for sale at the very attractive price of $300, when the initial-offer-buyer and I visit together near Galveston. If the deal isn’t consummated at that visit, I will photograph and likely subsequently raise the price.

If you check for WebAndNet in either eBay or Amazon, you’ll see I have a near 5 star seller rating.

If you are interested, please bring transport to take this sizable canoe. Here are its specifications: http://www.pelicansport.com/index.php?language=en&category=canoes&nauticalboat=bayou160

Since the recession

Marketers have gotten thrifty, and shoppers have gotten very thrifty. Marketers have figured out that the items which were on clearance previously (because few wanted these), are now being snapped up by thrifty customers. So, marketers provide less of these. Bargains are less.
