Houston Chinatown restaurants

Houston's Chinatown runs several miles on Bellaire Blvd., starting from approximately 2 blocks east of Gessner till Highway 6. This is the densiest and most competitive group of any restaurants in Houston. Of the Chinatowns I've been to, including San Francisco, New York, LA & LA's Koreatown, this is the best because land is cheaper in Houston, and as a result, its restaurants are far more spacious, and because labor is also cheaper in Houston, the prices are better. I personally also believe there are more restaurants here than other Chinatowns I've been to.

There are two sections here. East of Beltway 8 is primarily Chinese and west of is primarily Vietnamese.

Additionally the Vietnamese has portions extending all the way down to Bissonnett.

Best overall Chinese restaurant bargain in Houston

China Cafe, which has several locations, probably has the best overall restaurant bargains. First, tip is not required. Next, it's cooked very well. Lastly, if you're looking for a bargain, try their big fish. The sour one with tofu is the best bargain, but all their big fish dishes are great. Tilipia.

Chinatown restaurants

FuFu on the east side of Bellaire and Beltway 8 attracts the largest lunch crowds. They have a very distinctive menu and it's quite good. Their mushroom dish has very large mushrooms. But the best bargain in this area is right next door to FuFu.

Nature Crops Naturecrops Nutrition Bars, Quinoa Strawberry & Yogurt,

This probably the best “granola” type of bar I’ve ever had. I don’t really know what quinoa is, but it’s good; however, my opinion is that it’s the sesame and almonds blended with quinoa that really tastes this good. Didn’t do my research on quinoa, but if it’s really healthy, as claimed, this is a great. If price is no object, this is the bar to eat.
